Today was varied and enjoyable. There were many climbs but not too long and the route took me across open fields, through forests and small villages. I was surprised to find myself going past Hotel Allegria, where we have stayed several times and as I knew some friends were staying in Stegersbach, I phoned them and we met for coffee. I had made the mistake of only putting the name of the village instead of the address of the hotel and found I still had to go 6.5 kilometres and another climb! It was well worth it though – a beautiful room, a very friendly reception, excellent food including an amuse bouche

Der heutige Tag war abwechslungsreich und angenehm. Es gab viele aber nicht zu lange Anstiege, und die Route führte mich über offene Felder, durch Wälder und kleine Dörfer. Ich war überrascht, als ich am Hotel Allegria vorbeikam, wo wir schon mehrmals übernachtet haben, und da ich wusste, dass Freunde in Stegersbach wohnten, rief ich sie an und wir trafen uns auf einen Kaffee. Ich hatte den Fehler gemacht, statt der Adresse des Hotels nur den Namen des Dorfes einzugeben und stellte fest, dass ich noch 6,5 Kilometer und einen weiteren Anstieg zurücklegen musste! Es hat sich aber gelohnt. Das Zimmer ist schön, die Chefin sehr nett und das Essen hervorragend sogar mit Gruß der Kuche.
