I changed my carefully planned route again due to tips from my hosts. They said the road I was planning to use was very busy and although I am sure I had planned a cycle route very close to that road, when in doubt I listen to the locals.
This meant quite a detour with a steep climb where I had to push but an easier way of getting out of the city. Fortunately apart from that one climb the others were very gentle. At the end I had to take a diversion and I didn’t arrive until after 8 p.m.
